Summary

Betty Carr speaks on Tang dynasty ceramics - Date subject to change because of COVID-19

Description

The Tang dynasty is famous for its brightly colored Sancai, a lead glazed tri-colored earthenware that offers insight on the cross-cultural exchange during the peak of the Silk Road trade. This lecture will also explain why the Tang Dynasty achievements in true porcelain and underglaze painting were crucial to bring Chinese ceramics to the forefront of the world stage.

This event is a collaboration between SDCHM and the SDSU Chinese Cultural Center.
